Victor Bentley
My memories of this School are as follows;
I joined the Senior School from Roxeth Hill School in September1937.
Left Senior School in June 1940 and went to Pitmans College, Ealing Broadway.
The School was divided into 2 halves, as you entered by the Boys gate from Eastcote Lane
the Boys section was on the left hand side and the Girls on the right, with a thick white line down the middle to segregate us.
Various names of teachers come to mind, Headmaster. Mr. Harrison, Geography, Mr Heaton.(also a part time Policeman, even in those days)
Also he was a stickler for disipline. Science, Mr. Remington. Technical drawing, Mr. Shepherd. (Who also owned Shepherds book shop at the foot of Roxborough Bridge).
I used to live at 41, Abercorn Crescent, South Harrow, and why I did not attend Welldon Park School I do not know.
I enclose a photograph of myself and my Wife on the day of our Diamond Wedding in June this year.
Best of Luck
